Seminar Covering the Importance of Emergency Power Generators to be Held on Web

(Provided by Steven Nameroff - Friday, March 15, 2013)

A free web seminar being held on March 18th will cover the importance of emergency power systems to public health and safety.  The seminar itself will be sponsored by the Diesel Technology Forum.

Representatives are hoping to convey to the public the lessons the population has learned from the recent Superstrom Sandy in terms of having backup generators on hand to avoid prolonged blackout periods.  They also hope to cover the technology emergency power generator companies can offer, the difference between the models, the limitations and how hospitals, communications centers, airports, and emergency services are dependent of these generators.

Come on, everybody knows that backup generators can save lives during a power crisis.  Imagine being in a hospital, and your entire well-being is relying on electrical equipment keeping your heart alive. In comes a blackout that could last, say, three, four, maybe even eighteen hours, and you’re a goner.  Without a temporary power source you’re business can lose money.  A grocery store well stocked in perishable products can lose all their merchandise.
