Power Generators - Clean Energy

Newly developed cars operating on clean battery power is currently being dominated by Tesla.  Producing enough power, these energy efficient automobiles can drive for hundreds of miles on a single charge.  Tesla is currently seeking to expand their horizons by applying the same innovation to residential and commercial power.

Tesla representative, Elon Musk, announced recently that the company is hoping to release the new technology sooner than previously anticipated, providing battery power to residents and businesses throughout the United States.  By integrating the new battery system in either setting’s “green energy” generator supply network, the locations reliance on utility companies is significantly reduced or possibly eliminated.  The batteries will operate as external storage for energy generated by the establishment’s power network.  For example, your solar power panels collect the energy and the batteries store the energy.

Lack of Oil Pipe Line Disaster – Unclean Energy Hazard

(Provided by Steven Nameroff - Friday, February 27, 2015)

A massive eruption of flames because of a crude oil transport derailment shows greatly to the small town of Mount Carbon, close to Charleston, the need for an oil pipeline. Flames could be seen for miles as nearby witnesses looked on at the fiery storm that proceeded.  Sadly enough it was reported that one home was destroyed as a result not to mention that the flames could be seen burning even a day later.

If recent activists against the idea of an oil pipeline think government-regulated transportation of oil using a pipeline is scary, these same individuals need to communicate with the local residents of Mount Carbon.  One can safely assume that, in their opinion, having a pipeline is safer than transporting oil via train.

Power Generator Installation

A standby generator has become a staple for many homeowners. It can easily make the difference between comfortably weathering the storm, or suffering many inconveniences. The large commercial generators require the assistance of a professional for their safe installation. An improperly installed generator can risk your life and that of power employees who may be repairing power lines.

$40 Trillion Over 20 Years – Oil’s on it’s way Out!

(Provided by Steven Nameroff - Monday, February 09, 2015)

Within the next 20 years, it is estimated that about $40 trillion will be invested in the energy sector.

Global inventories of oil are dropping radically as the price of oil falls below $50 per barrel.  Renewable Energy continues to make its mark on investors and users. Clean or green technology has become more than just a wish; it is fast becoming a requirement.

Hydrocarbons found in the earth’s crust equate to about 12,000 gigatonnes. The cheaper oils are usually found in Ghawar field in Saudi Arabia and have surpassed the peak of production, and they may continue to produce but at a decreased output level.

Tragic & Unexpected - Massive Storm Causes Major Damage

(Provided by Steven Nameroff - Friday, February 06, 2015)

Even though the most recent storm that hit the northeast fell below levels projected, it shut down communities and an entire island on the east coast. For more than 2 days, 30,000 were without power.

Nantucket island was completely cut off during the storm due to salt water and ice damage to their power equipment.

Forecasters credited the light snow with fewer than anticipated levels of power outages. Heavy, frozen snow can build up on power lines causing them to break and lose their power feed.

U.S. Sets New Record! Power Capacity Average at 91%

Power Generator Services

During 2014, nuclear power plants in the United States reported setting a record for having a capacity factor average of 91.8%, which is the highest level on record. This was due in part to the amount of time reactors experienced down time for outages of the reactors due to repairs.

The plants are credited with shorter outages due to refueling and maintenance, and experienced fewer overall outages. Also, power usage was increased during December of 2014 to a level of 98.9%.

Just What is Renewable Energy Exactly?

(Provided by Steven Nameroff - Friday, January 23, 2015)

Renewable energy is fast becoming a staple in today’s modern language.  For hundreds of years we used our resources to produce energy, and those resources are slowly becoming in short supply.

Hence, the term “renewable” has found its way into all discussions regarding the environment and the production of energy.

It is usually defined as energy that develops from resources which can be restored or replenished during a human’s lifetime such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat. Renewable energy can replace the more usual fuels in areas such as electricity generation, hot water, space heating, fuel for vehicles, and the more rural off-grid energy services.

Natural Gas Power Plant Faces Opposition from Locals

Natural Gas Power Plant

The proposal for a natural gas powered power plant in Jessup Maryland is facing a community that is divided over new jobs versus environmental impacts.

At a time when alternative fuel ideas are sparking much thought, many share a concern that natural gas will potentially affect the environment. Nuclear based power plants have faced this same type of opposition.

The proposed plant would be constructed on 80 acres of former coal mining land in the industrial park of the community. Invenergy, the Chicago company building the plant will utilize natural gas to create electricity, and has indicated that the project will create tax revenue for the city and generate hundreds of jobs.

Ampy Motion Power Backup Energy

Talk about innovative backup energy. Ampy, a system that will store battery power by converting our physical movements into energy and then using it for charging items with motion power, is the latest and the greatest.

The technology is simple, and involves the body’s unlimited supply of energy to substitute for plug-in power.

Many of today’s items such as the smartphone, laptop, and others rely on a battery to function. Once the battery power is gone, a plug-in is required to charge the battery and furnace power to the item.

The Ampy system requires no plugs or power; just your everyday movement. For example, 10,000 steps will provide 3 hours of phone life. Joggers and bikers can produce up to 9 hours of power.
